The Well at Bulkington

High Street Owners of The Well at Bulkington,Tim and Sam Taylor carried out a major refurbishment to include an excellent new restaurant. The Well re-opened it’s doors in October 2009.

Tim and Sam have their own website, where you can find a menu to suit all tastes and a good selection of real ales.

Village Hall - on the corner of Mill Lane/High Street

Bulkington Village Hall is a pleasant venue for a wide range  of activities: meetings, parties, wakes, keep fit, singing, music practice, art, etc.  

It can accommodate up to 60 persons seated at tables. There is full disabled access. The kitchen, where food can be reheated, is complete with cutlery and crockery.

William Breach Centenary Playing Field - Wick Lane


The Field was donated to the Parish by William Breach on 10 February 2006 for the enjoyment of the whole village.

The objectives of the Playing Field Committee in managing the Field are:
  • to provide a safe environment where people of all ages can meet and play
  • to maintain the field, any equipment and infrastructure so that it is fit for purpose
  • improve the field, in keeping with the village, ensuring villagers have the opportunity to consult where appropriate.

Operated by Wiltshire Council. Calls at The
Well forecourt on alternate Mondays from
10.55 to11.25.

Please make use of this service or risk
losing it! There is a very real threat of the
library service being withdrawn if it is not
used by enough people.


The Great Bulkington Railway (GBR) - Mill Lane

The railway offers sit on train rides and can 
be hired (subject to weather conditions)
together with the village hall for children's
birthday parties.
